Since its foundation in 1974, the journal Verba has been publishing special issues intended to make known long research works of special interest. The collection of appendices covers both monographs by one single author and works with several authors, selected by the editors of each volume. The appendices also include revised versions of doctoral theses, provided that they have been positively evaluated by the journal’s referees. Likewise, the collection hosts volumes issuing from seminars and symposia, provided that the materials respect the thematic coherence of the appendix, whether because they belong to the same field of inquiry (vocabulary, grammar, onomastics, textual criticism and edition, etc.), because they refer to the same language or languages (Galician, Spanish, one or more Romanic languages, etc.), or because they adopt the same descriptive approach (synchronic, diachronic, dialectological, lexicographic, sociolinguistic, etc.). The editors of these volumes must ensure the quality of the compiled works. Moreover, the editorial board of Verba will submit them for external evaluation. The thematic areas to which the appendices belong are the same as those of the journal Verba itself. No more than two appendices are published each year. History of the collection
