Family and capitalism: a linguistic and political study

Autor/a
Allones Pérez, Carlos A.
Family and Capitalism is a monograph in three parts. The first part studies the relations that are established between soldiers and their sergeant during the instruction and practice of military foot drill .   .   .   .   . .   .   .   .   . .   .   .   .   .       x .   .   .   .   . .   .   .   .   . as if it were a laboratory case study. The methodology and theoretical results obtained from this analysis are applied in the second part of the book to study, first of all, the prohibition of incest [cf. Lévi-Strauss], and then the buying and selling of labour-power [cf. Marx]. Using the same method —a method that is linguistic and political—, the final part studies the relation between these two social practices, in particular the relation between family and capitalism that is contemporary in western societies.
